My career in floral design began with planning the biggest event of my life, my wedding day. After speaking to several florists, I realized that my vision for my wedding did not match my budget. Determined to get exactly what I wanted, I began learning everything I could about floral design and the care of flowers.

Despite my loved one’s hesitations (you’ll be stressed enough without the flowers they said!) I plowed ahead, practicing over and over until I felt comfortable in my designs. The night before our wedding, armed with my flowers, my mother, my father, and little brother, I started creating the arrangements I had practiced for so many months. It was the perfect way to spend the night before my wedding, playing with flowers, surrounded by those I love.

Since that day, I have not been able to stop creating. I’ve continued my floral education, taking classes from the floral greats, including Michael Gaffney and Joseph Massie. There is no greater joy for me than seeing how much a client loves an arrangement.
